Reviving traditional nautical styles worn along our wonderful coastlines from times gone by.

Dress for Autumn with coastal vibes...

UNISEX GARMENTS & ACCESSORIES

Are you ready to explore...?

For hundreds of years we have ventured further into distant waters. Searching for new worlds and places we would eventually call home. As climates became colder the clothing we wore had to change and be adapted to the harsh surroundings. The materials had to be versatile, stronger and made to stand the test of time.

Inspired by the sheer determination of our British Polar Explorers Ernest Shackleton and Robert Falcon Scott we have revived one of the famous design cues worn by these hardened seafarers and adventurers. British made to keep our amazing heritage alive we introduce the all new Explorer Smock...

FEATURED BLOG:- WHALE OF A TIME OFF ROBIN HOOD'S BAY
It was a gorgeous Summer's day and we headed out to sea in an old fishing coble to learn what life was like in times gone by, with plans to capture some fab photos wearing our clothing.

But what was about to unfold before our very eyes was shockingly different...

SUPPORTING LOCAL RNLI

A large part of our coastal heritage is the brave men and women who have risked their lives at sea to save others. In 1824 the Royal National Lifeboat Institute, known as RNLI was formed, saving over 140,000 lives to date.

In Robin Hood's Bay we are proud to have the oldest Lifeboat collection box in the world. It has been in place since 1886 and believed to be the smallest listed structure in the UK. Cast out of metal in the shape of a cod, visitors are encouraged to feed the fish with a coin or even a note when they stroll down the slipway towards the sea.

As not everyone has the opportunity to visit Robin Hood's Bay a QR Code has been set up, so your much appreciated donations can still keep sailing in and this wonderful cause can continue. As this is a new facility we are promoting through our website we kindly ask you to type the word Berties in the name field when you are donating so we can track if this way of collecting for the RNLI is effective by having it on our website. Thank you.
